I received my Haber sunglasses two weeks ago and am truly impressed. I am native to Colorado and have spent the last 25 years living to ski and bike in the mountains near my home. Considering these hobbies and the 300 days of sunshine our state receives, I have become somewhat of a sunglasses freak over the years and have tried or owned some great and not so great pairs of glasses and goggles. When my brother-in-law, an avid outdoorsman and sunglasses fanatic in his own right, told me the story of how Bolle’s founder, Steve Haber, was producing killer polarized shades with quality to rival Oakley and Maui Jim, I decided to check out a pair to determine if it was a product I could endorse.

Since I’ve been eying some Maui Jim wireframes, I decided to purchase the Ibiza model with black titanium frames and pumice lenses. The Haber sunglasses arrived in a rugged yet attractive hard case. When purchasing sunglasses online, you’re not really sure exactly how you’re going to feel about the product but I was definitely stoked when I had the pair in my hand. Fortunately, these glasses fit perfectly and were so light I hardly feel them on my head or in my hand. It actually takes some getting use to these featherweights!

Two days later was my first real test and wore them driving to Berthoud Pass to do some backcountry skiing. It was a bright, beautiful bluebird day on the drive from Denver and my eyes were extremely happy and I seriously would forget I was wearing. The polarized optics effectively eliminated glare from the snow and did not distort any of the natural colors like some other polarized sunglasses I own. Since these weren’t purchased for skiing, I donned my Spy polarized shades that I love for climbing/skiing. After the ski and my ride home I was still wearing my spys. I swapped them for the new Habers and the optical difference was dramatic. I don’t want anything but the Haber Polarized sunglasses for driving.

As far as style is concerned, my wife is quoted with “those glasses are the bomb” – and I think I have plenty of cool shades. I think the Habers are sweet, too, but I’m definitely more interested in her opinion!

I don’t endorse many products but this is one I feel very confident about sharing with my friends and family as this is a superior product at a great price. At minimum, I’ll be buying the goggles for next winter.

I should note that if you don’t like the pair for any reason, Haber makes it really easy to exchange for another pair by including an exchange/return form. I think you’ll be pleased.
